Before you call or email

Keep your property address and tax bill or tax-sale notice nearby. Tell the office what you need to know, then ask it to confirm the current amount, where to pay, which payment methods it accepts, and any next steps. If a lawyer sent you a letter or court papers, also contact the lawyer named in those papers.
